"I began my professional journey over a decade ago, providing software support and creating GUI screens as a placement student. Since then, my career has spanned various industries and technical roles, teaching me invaluable lessons - like never deploying on a Friday and always having a change back-out plan. From my early days as a software support developer, a mindset of maximising reliability has always been ingrained in me.
When I'm not developing our products and services at Trackmetrics, I pursue a diverse range of hobbies, including ice skating, wild fruit foraging, wine-making, robotics, and exploring local museums, parks, and exhibits with my wife and daughter. I'm also deeply interested in technology outside of the office and can often be found tinkering with new hardware or designing the intricacies of an esolang.
As the Head of Product Development, I enjoy being involved in every aspect of the development process, from bug fixing to business planning and everything in between. This broad perspective helps me appreciate the diverse challenges and opportunities as we grow our product. Programming, as always, holds a special place in my heart (and my time-sheets), and I look forward to continuing to innovate and drive our product forward."
