"After two decades in software engineering, I've come to appreciate the intricate dance between innovation and reliability. My journey has taken me from the early days of integrating reverse geocoding (and learning some expensive lessons along the way) to architecting serverless solutions that manage billions of events—a testament to my passion for telematics.
When I'm not immersed in code or helping to shape the future of Track Metrics, you'll find me on the badminton court, reliving my university days, or scaling walls at the local climbing gym—a hobby I picked up with a dear colleague who left a lasting impact on my career and this company. I also have a deep-seated love for chess, a game I once played at the county level in South Africa and led during my university years, which continues to influence my strategic thinking both in life and in business.
Though my role has evolved to include business development and fostering connections, I’m still as hands-on as ever, continuously driven by a love for both programming and the people behind it. And, of course, I’ve never met a PC strategy game I didn’t want to master."
